Bloggy McBloggenstein.

Blogs? Not for me. I'm more of a daily webcomic kind of guy. Blogs require me to, many times, feign interest in not only the topic at hand, but the authors writing as well. A comics job, however, is simply to entertain. Not discuss existential ideas, or political views, or why pineapples are better than coconuts. No, comics play to a much broader audience, with that of a wide range of humor. A good comic can appeal to those with different tastes, life experiences, and more. It is with these standards set that i turn to the comic/blog combo, www.theoatmeal.com. It is a one-stop shop of parodies on notable life occurrences which we pass over without a second glance. Only until we see that enough other people go through the same situations often enough to write a blog/comic entry about, do we realize how funny it is! The author takes life's apparently insignificant experiences and slaps you in the face with them with a loud bark telling you to pay attention. With some hilarious illustrations to boot, this is a comog(blomic?) i find myself returning to time after time to unwind after a stressful day.
