My primary sources for current events online are http://news.yahoo.com/ and http://online.wsj.com/home-page, and have been for the past three years. However, upon purchasing an Ipod Touch this year, I now also follow the news through applications for CNN, MSNBC and The New York Times. Though informative, they are not my only methods of news gathering.
Though I have found online news sources to be the most up to date and the best at showing breaking news stories, I still read the occasional physical copy of Newsday or flip through ABC or NBC in the evening. While I used to read a good portion of the Wallstreet Journal every morning, I now find that I have neither the time nor the patience for it. As this is the case, applications that can send me headlines and summaries of news stories have been a life saver.
