How do you know about your world?

Interestingly enough, if asked this question a few weeks ago, I would have had a very simple answer. I do not watch TV. When I say I don't watch TV, I mean I watch about 1 hour of TV per month. I learned about current events and major news from speaking to other people and by occasionally visiting a few websites. However, most of the websites I checked daily for news were geared more towards technology and other related media.

Thankfully, around the holidays I was gifted with an iPod Touch. Ever since I got it, I have added many apps that allow me to receive news from credible sources when I wake up and until I go to sleep. I have apps made by NY Times, CNN, and Time.com. While these are very well known sources, I also get much of my news from NPR, which used to be National Public Radio. Prior to owning an iPod Touch, I was not aware of NPR and I have been receiving a very steady stream of current and interesting stories through them.
